Squier Fender MINI Guitar – How Do Users Rate It?
The Squier Fender MINI guitar is a small red guitar that is 75% of the size of the standard Squier Bullet guitar. The scale length is 22.75 inches.
This guitar is perfect for beginners, adults with small hands, and kids who want to learn how to play the electric guitar. It is small, but it is definitely not a toy. This is a real guitar with 3 Single Coil pick-ups, 5-way switching, and a fixed non-tremolo hardtail bridge. This small guitar plays as good as it looks, and that’s cool!

One 38-year old user said that he has been using the Squier Fender MINI for 6 years and is still extremely happy with it. He has been playing the guitar for 22 years and said that he enjoyed this small guitar more than his standard sized guitars! He also said that the sound from the red Mini sounded even better than his standard sized electric guitars. This seasoned guitar player said that the Squier Mini isn’t just for kids but for adults too (especially if you who have small hands).
Another review said that a man got this Torino red Squier for his 9 year old daughter. It had a rosewood fretboard and hardtail bridge. The buyer said that it was the perfect size guitar for his 9 year old. Although smaller, it still produces a strong tone, and it played consistently from low to high strings. According to this buyer, the saddle was sturdy and the strings will not always need to be tuned (but see the contrary view below). He said that the Red Mini was perfect for his daughter’s small hands.
Another buyer said that, since he got the Squier Fender MINI guitar for his 7 year old son, he started practicing more often compared to before when he was still using a standard electric guitar. His son used to play an acoustic and plays for the school orchestra, and he has played and practiced more often since using his new red Mini. He is playing better now and actually feels like a rock star!!
Cons
A number of people said that they found it difficult to get it tuned the first few times they used it. Some users said that the guitar went out of tune often especially when the strings would hit the frets. Adjusting the frets would sometimes not work and you would have to adjust the neck to pull the strings higher to make the guitar work properly.
Some people said they had to tune the guitar often to get the right tones. Many said that it was OK for a kid but not for serious adult guitar players. One adult user said that the strings would loosen every time her used the guitar, making adjustments necessary all the time. Although kids like the way the guitar looks, most adults find the design a little too childish and novice-like.
Basically, the Torino Red Squier Fender MINI guitar is a child’s dream electric guitar. The kids obviously feel like rock stars when using this small red guitar. It makes even simple playing sound more sophisticated. It is a handy electric guitar that is easy to take with you wherever you go.
